Board of Directors

The Blackstone Lake Cottagers Association (BLCA) is a member-based, non-profit organization that is run by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time. Work that we do is inspired and made possible by organizations such as the Georgian Bay Association, Georgian Bay Land Trust, Georgian Bay Forever, Georgian Bay Biosphere, Federation of Ontario Cottagers' Associations and the Township of the Archipelago.

We are currently the only inland lake member of the Georgian Bay Association and an annual Charter Member with the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve.  We are stewards of the lake and surrounding land which includes a Georgian Bay Land Trust property at Rat Lake on the southern end of Blackstone Lake.  In 2007, we participated in the Bass Nest Creation Project with the Eastern Georgian Bay Stewardship Council building approximately 50 nests and positively impacting fish habitat and populations.

Current Board of Directors

Nearing retirement as CFO for The United Church of Canada.  Has a lifelong connection with Blackstone and Tolpt’s Bay.  Erik’s definition of a good day is one that begins with a swim across the lake.  Erik’s covid hair is longer than pictured.
Lisa Pieper-Brown - Dayton, OH - Secretary
I have been crossing the border for summer breaks at Blackstone lake since 1964 representing the fourth generation of our family tree. As an American, being BLCA secretary helps me stay connected with the lake and support their efforts to preserve the peace and beauty of Blackstone Lake.

Married into a cottaging family over 40 years ago and considers Blackstone Lake her refuge.
